It is becoming increasingly popular for schools to invite visiting specialists in to run weekly clubs. An Interactive Music Club is an ideal way to teach the children new songs and games, which can then filter through the school and spill over into playground activities, promoting positive play. Interactive Music Club has been running after-school music clubs, Saturday and holiday workshop days for 8 years and has had huge popularity and success with primary children, parents and teachers alike. It was derived from MUSIC-4-SCHOOLS (Training and Resources for Primary Teachers) which runs inset training and music courses for teachers in the South East.
All Interactive Music Club leaders are CRB checked, first-aid trained, fully insured and have received comprehensive training. Interactive Music Club is a part of www.primarymusicspecialist.com who will continue to support and provide on-going training to guarantee the highest level of service. EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS FOR CHILDREN The singing games and activities cover many aspects of the music national curriculum. All activities work on rhythm and pulse skills and many integrate the skills of pitch-learning and singing in tune. The games content supports the need for social development as many of them involve choosing and changing partners. They involve the discipline of turn-taking, being a leader and being a follower. Intellectually, musical skills help to develop language, memory, speech and numeracy. Physically they assist gross and fine motor skills, coordination, spacial awareness and hand-eye coordination. Singing games can be an excellent emotional release for children and can play a large part in developing self-esteem. Finally, playing musical games can lead the children to developing their own games spontaneously, using their skills and imagination, developing their creativity. Please contact us to discuss any of the above.
